A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

5 for me. Blanked with the first 2 words then xyxyx. xgggg followed before I put the only other option in for the solve.

5 for me. Can't remember ever using the word!

xxyxx, xxxxy, xxxgx, xxggg, solve.

Simple 3 today. Could only have been 2, 3 or 4 because my starter left only 3 possibles according to WORDLEBOT!

I’m a subscriber to nyt but only the news not the games. I do the Spelling Bee every day but as a non subscriber it cuts one off after you have some fraction of the possibles which suits me as it would take too long. Letter Boxed allows completion as do the 3 Sudoku levels - not sure if this is just for the “news” subscribers or for the hoi polloi!

Edit: typos
I’ve discovered I don’t actually have access to the cooking app with my subscription. They’ll send me the newsletter, but then I can’t access the recipes - not very useful!! at least I can see what I’m missing :ROFLMAO:

On my reading of the offer I thought you did. Maybe email them querying it? I can get the cooking newsletters with my basic news sub so I feel you should get the whole thing!

It definitely currently offers (copied & pasted from their subs page):

Unlimited access to everything The Times has to offer. All in one subscription.

LIMITED TIME OFFER
£3 £0.50/week

Billed as £2 every 4 weeks for the first year.

A quick (<30s) and logical solve today, helped by a decent starter.

yyxyg, xyyyg, ggggg.

Sorry to slightly hijack this thread. Today I tried to use the games app on the phone. It won't accept my sign in - just as it wouldn't for the cooking app. When I check, I do have all access, so I must be doing something wrong somewhere.
edit: I just spotted your other post - I think I will contact them.
another update: I now have access to the games and cooking apps - I reset my password. It's quite bizarre because I'd logged in on my computer with that password with no problem. Anyway I have access now!

A 5 for me today - even though I seemed to have quite a few letters, I made hard work of it!

I was having repeated trouble getting a reset iPad to accept my Apple ID password. I even typed it out elsewhere and copy/pasted it — repeated no goes. Turned out I’d paused my finger too long and had a doubled letter “l” instead of single but due to dirty spectacles or small print or whatever I just wasn’t seeing when I checked!
