A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

A 4 today 2Y, 1G 1Y, 2G 1Y after which no matter how hard I tried I could only come up with one word that would fit and luckily it did 5G.
 
4 this morning. Could have been 3 but I chose incorrectly from a couple of choices :( Hey ho!
 
Coulda, shoulda, woulda been 2 but instead a plodding 4 today.
XXOBB left only 12 possibles (WORDLEBOT says) and OOOOX nearly got it but then OOOOX until finally OOOOO. Feels like a phew not a phour :)
 
Sorry, Richard, I nicked your 2!

A random(ish) starter did quite well and gave me gxyyx which I managed to convert to the ggggg with my next guess.
 
A standard 4, 1G 1Y, 2G 1Y which to all intends and purposes gave me the 3 starting letters had I gone with my gut feeling it would have been a 3 but chose to eliminate the more common letters instead so 3G, 5G.

Anyone with a 4 or more may be too embarrassed to post now!!! But they shouldn't be - it's not a word that gets used much.
 
a 4 opener gave me 1G 1Y, different one gave me another 1G 1Y so 2G's and 2Y's from which I could only make 2 words and choose the wrong one first.

Actually I thought it was fairly common, or am I thinking of something else?
Anyway, a non embarrassing 3. Pretty good considering I'm taking a break in the middle of a computer rewire, on my knees on the floor surrounded by new bits, old but still used bits, redundant bits and the usual rat's nest of cables that I'm trying to at least label so I know what they are.
Now I need tea.................

Yes, I was a bit surprised at the run of 3s. It doesn’t seem a ‘likely’ word to think of although what it refers is something probably everyone sees every day but only uses the word very occasionally.
 
It is very common but not an often used word (can't remember the last time I said it!)

Near standard - I'd like to report a 2!

However, it was actually a 4. :P

xxyxy, yyxyy, ygxgg (effectively xgggg) with only one option I could see.
