Oh well a 5 today, could have been anything from a 3 to a fail just so much choice, 2Y, 3G, 4G, 4G, 5G.

Wordle Weekly Recap​

Hardest word: EXCEL, from Thursday, Dec. 22​
Average guesses: 4.44, with 15.77 percent of players solving in three or fewer​
Easiest word: SLATE, from Monday, Dec. 19​
Average guesses: 2.82, with 70.43 percent of players solving in three or fewer​
(This is by far the lowest average guess score of any Wordle answer we have data for. The next lowest, ATONE, from June 14, 2022, had an average score of 3.15.)​
The Wordle answers last week — Dec. 19 to 25 — were easier than those from the week before.​

SLATE is an anagram of my current starter LEAST which is a popular one — and maybe a lot of people use SLATE (probably equally good) which would bring the average down.

Another Phew! for me this morning!

xyxxx, yxxxx, xgyxx, xgxxy (which meant the y had to be a g at 4), xgggg then (the much more likely!) solution.
 
A surprising 3 today despite re-using a wrong letter on the second attempt! BXBXX BBXXX then an inspired OOOOO :)
 
Not a good start for the year. Nobody fewer than 4 … yet!
 
Well a good start to the New Year, my starter gave me 2G and a good guess gave me 5G, I just hope it's a sign of the year ahead.

I must have used up all my luck yesterday but at least it wasn't a fail, 1Y, 2Y. 2G 2Y, after which I could only come up with 3 words to fit 4G, 4G, 5G.
 
After a day off yesterday (no internet and I don't play on my phone [even phone coverage at MiL is sketchy at best!]), it's a 4 for me. Blank, xxyyx, xyxyg, solve.
