I think that’s part of the reason for the popularity of the game. One can get a chance combination of letters that heavily restricts the number of possibles and so produces some quick results which are the rewards that keeps people hooked!

I doubt Josh Wardle planned that when he created the game -- he was just lucky … about $100,000++ lucky by all accounts
