A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

I’m toying with the idea of turning off the “hard” setting (that I’ve always used) and picking two start lines to get more consonants.

Reading today's scores is quite reassuring for me - it seems that I'm far from being the only failure!!! At least my fail hasn't spoiled a long streak.

I cleared all cookies and the cache on my PC yesterday, and I cannot for the life of me get back my old wordle acc stats :/ Everything got zeroed. I was going to give it a rest for a while then start afresh, but F it, started fresh this eve and got a tasty 3 :)

A new system Richard, tell us more....!!
Nothing very exciting. I turned off HARD mode, which I’d always used and then used my usual starter followed by another using the vowels not in the first plus what I hoped were common consonants. In this case I used ORATE & USING.

I don’t think it’s a magic bullet but it makes a change.

4 G on line 3 and still a fail.
never heard the word before.
But you’ve probably got one in your kitchen, It’s one of those words you seldom see written and so looks ‘odd’ I think.

3 for me too. g, ygg, solved!

I don't think I would have got it in 7 yesterday. I thought I could use in my defence that I did try it on my phone while I was eating my dinner at 2145 after spending all day driving/walking/photographing Dartmoor (a 'photowalk/drive' in deference to my knackered leg but you rack up more miles on foot than you realize you're doing). However It seems I was in good company and didn't need a defence. Seriously - is that even a word? Apparently so and no I don't have one in my kitchen. My partner may have one but he is Mr Gadget Man
But...............got it in 2 this morning :D

Went for an unusual starter and blanked! One green with the second guess, a yellow added with the third and only one word fitted after that!
