Re yesterday, I 99 times out of 100 use the same starter word, which usually works well for me as it has 3 vowels. Yesterday, it gave me the first letters2 as green and the last letter as a yellow. For the second line, I usually try to use the remaining 2 vowels but I couldn't yesterday so I thought to try and avoid the guessing game, I'd try and think of the least likely word it would be. It actually worked and gave me my first 2 for a while.

Still a solve, Peter!
 
3 for me this morning. Got the first letter with my first guess then went for a silly option (in hindsight - didn't see it at first!) which gave me a y which led me to the solution.
 
Well mine turned into a two letter guessing game that I was sure I was going to lose, so happy with a

1G, 2G 1Y, 3G, 3G, 3G, 5G.
 
2ys, 2ys then a luck guess for a 3.

A 4 for me, nothing else I could think of to fit after my third guess.
