A tricky 4 today.

Y, G, 2G +2Y, a fair bit of thinking, 5G
 
A big improvement today ... a 3 :banana:.

No doubt it will be back to 5/6 tomorrow ... but I'll bask in the glory of today's solution
 
3 for me today, 1G 2Y, 1G 3Y, 5G. Good opening guess helped.
 
Stuck on 4 again.

4 for me today. Took me ages from a gggy to think what the final piece in the puzzle was!

IMO, even a 6 is a win!!!

Same here. Because it’s not really a word written that way IMNVHO ;).
 
Depends. I've been told by someone who should know (a native speaker) that once capitalized, the missing bit isn't always needed or used.
 
The spelling is fine, but there's something missing in my mind at least
 
And a 3 again for me today, 2Y, 3G 1Y, 5G.
 
I don't normally check it till the morn, but mine's refreshed here ... should I tackle it after a few Fri night bevvies? :thinking::beer:

Took me all 6 goes this morning. Blank, y, gy, gg, ggg, sigh of relief!

I take four or five or six on my iPad, but when I do it on my Mac, I get it one!
 
4 here, took me an age after third to get it, had the first 2 letters but had cancelled a lot more obvious choices greying letter on my first 2
