A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

4 for me today.

I almost dropped out of doing Wordle. The other day was a busy one and I lay in bed managing to get the answer at 11.59 with the success screen! Seconds later and the clock ticked past midnight.... and it thought I had failed :( My running streak was reset. Hey ho! That will stop me chasing any streaks :LOL: - the pressure is off now
 
Please note the title of the thread - "A bit of fun -" !!! Like g*lf, your most important competition is yourself.

2g 1y on my start word made it fairly obvious where the y went and there wasn't much that fitted
Just checked in the crosswordy thing and 4 that fitted apparently. The other 3 I've never heard of and sound like they were used back in the middle ages, so probably a bit early to figure in an American dictionary........ :LOL::exit:
 
FAIL today.

Poor start with XXXXX then XOXXX XOXXO XOXXO XOXOO then nearly with XOOOO.

Too many choiices from the 3rd line onward!
 
4 this morning. Blanked the first guess, 1Y on my 2nd. But fortunate guesses thereafter :)
 
A slightly surprising 4 for me today. Surprising because I blanked withy my first 2 guesses! Then yxxyx and precious few options!
 
3 today, A fairly good first line BOXXX and inspired XOOOX left only one possible word I think.
