A bit of information I read today that I have never read anywhere else but seems to make good sense is that you should only wind on your film once you have opened the folder (bellows). The reason being, that opening the folder after winding the film on can cause the film inside to move with the slight vacuum created by the bellows movement and can cause the film to not lie flat within the supposed film plane.

Just thought it might be useful.

Thanks for that Ed.

Having just today received a MF folding camera, that is very timely.

Makes sense to me too.

Ah, sensible advice when you think about it. Cheers Ed.

That makes very good senses Ed......I've had a number of shots that have been slightly OOF and I've wondered if it was my error in calculating camera to subject distance.

It will take some getting used to not to have the film wound on , something I always did to ensure I had the film "ready" for the next shot .....I can see a number of double exposures happening LOL
