Would like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in my post "What is Full Frame (D700)" some time ago. I took the decision to go FF and boy, happy chappy:clap: I've posted some of my first shots in the "Birds" section but here is one I'm pleased with:-

I'm also learning how to use Photoshop (hence the insertion of my name:lol:). It has not been worked on other than a small crop, what you see is what I took. Anyone thinking of updating to the D700, well, this is one of my first ever shots with it so... What are you waiting for?

Once again a big thank you to all of you:thumbs:

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck ...and quacks. It's probably a duck.
Sorry, couldn't resist. Welcome to the FF club.

Glad you like the FF goodness!

As someone who lusts over a d700, I wish you had said it was a pile of poo!

Nice one Phil:lol:
Thanks

Thanks Tom,
I think you were one of (if not) the first to answer my original post over FF. We've come a long way since the first "what is FF?". I've learned stuff and spent my money on a D700. If memory serves, you said something like, if you don't know what it is then why get one... I know I have a long way to go but I'm well chuffed I took the step. Hope we can have some more discussions in the future:thumbs:
Thanks again.

nice one david, now just sit back and enjoy mate keep the photos coming.

Ahh, my mate Scott,

You are in deep trouble my friend:lol: My missus is no 'appy with you:lol:
I've spent me savings, I'm on the pc all the time and, I'm out playing with my new toy all the other time:lol: You kept on nagging me to get a D700:clap:
Don't know if you checked my post in the bird section but, I'm over the moon with the first results, I haven't really started yet and all I want to do now is take pics with the 700. If this is the first result I can only imagine a few months down the road.

Joking aside mate, thanks again for all your posts and info in helping me decide to go for it:thumbs:

Simon mate, sorry:lol:
I wish I could have said that for you but, a lot of people convinced me it was the thing to do. I know it's a big expense but like everyone told me, you won't be sorry you spent all your savings:lol:
I don't know how to put links into a thread yet, but if you go to the birds section and find "first pics with new camera" you can find other examples to convince you.
Stop lusting and get one:lol:

/\

Lol!

Wouldn't mind an FF... :D

BTW nice pic of the duck!

ok ok, what does /\ mean? Go get yourself one, I've only just started with it but I'm well pleased with the results.
Not a bad shot eh? Besides messing about learning Photoshop as well, (hence the name on the pic:lol:), all I did was a very small crop and no other adjustments.

Lucky you. I am waiting for mine from Santa. Roll on Xmas.

A D700 and 400mm... lend us a tenner ;)

Sooo tempted to go FF myself - this hasn't helped me resist !
