I posted a few days ago that I thought I had ruined my film when I didn't flick the switch on the OM-2n prior to winding the lever. I had opened the back to find the film on the right hand side with the end torn, and of course, it was exposed to light when I opened the back.
I was pretty dejected and angry with myself since this was the first time I had ever used Velvia - it's not cheap and I had used it over the course of 5-6 weeks. It was also the first time I had ever used my Olympus OM-2n.
I was comforted a bit by the replies that suggested I take it to a proper film developer and see what they could do. I settled upon Genie Imaging and took the camera to them yesterday. Well, today I collected the negatives and scanned CD (Genie Imaging seem really good btw).
I have to say I am very pleased - only around 6-7 were ruined, and of the rest, most were ok (exposed ok) and a few I was pleasantly surprised with. As a Velvia virgin it exceeded all my expectations!
Thank you so much to everyone for all the advice which as always was speedy and very helpful.
Here are three pics from the roll - hope you like them.
