Like others on here, I've been inspired by someone who's dedication shines through. It took just a few minutes on your sofa before you escorted me through to the bedroom and, from that moment on, I just knew I had to have it. The rest, as they say, is history....expensive history, but history nevertheless.

I didn't know bird photos could be so amazing until I saw yours, Ian. They set a standard I know I'll never, ever reach but it's fun trying. :)

Thanks for helping to keep us unruly lot in order for much longer than I've been around here. Wishing you all the best - and look forward to seeing lots of photos now you'll have so much more time for togging. :thumbs:

(BTW was it you who sent a report in to the LBC for the Black Tailed Godwits on Frampton Marsh? ;) )

Yes that was me :) took me ages to find out what they were though, and had to phone JoeT cos i knew he had a bird book to hand to get an idea. My brother and my mum and dad saw them too, so i wasnt imagining it :)

Thankyou...personally, for all the help you've given on here. Please don't be a stranger, and don't think you're going anywhere, you can now devote your free time to being a more dedicated member.

PS. Can we have the ice cream store key returned, and also your TP branded underwear? (It's in your contract, returnable....that's right, your replacement has to wear them for a week as part of the initiation :D)

Only been on here a short while but in that time have come to see what bird photography can really be like after seeing Ian's shots.... especially the SEO's.

No doubt you will now have more time to produce even more stunning captures that inspire and delight ... ya rotter!

Will let you know when the SEOs return to my patch.
