8Gb cf card

Just a quickie, do 133x 8Gb cf cards work ok on a canon 300D ?

I don't have this camera so I'm not sure, it's a question on behalf of a friend

Can't help with the 8Gb as my cards are the Lexar uDMA ones but the 4Gb 133x works fine on the 300D

i,m just a bit wary of cards that big. its a lot of files to loose if your card dies and you havent backed em up..
personaly , the biggest we use is 4 gig.
