85mm f/1.4 - oh my!

Sure :naughty:

They all could be done at narrower apertures but the bokeh wouldn't be as nice IMO.

I'd love an 85/1.4. I love my 50/1.4 on full frame.

Point well made Thomas. Great pics, and they would not have been the same at f/4.

I love the way these guys get studio quality light out of pocket flash guns. Like Joe McNally ;)

Good on yer!

I have the f1.4 and have to say I absolutely love it, at 1.4 it just gives this lovely creamy image with lovely dof. I have only used it for 1 shoot so far but the results where impressive.

Taken at f1.4

Unfortunately yes. It was covered by insurance but poor Colin had to pay out two excess payments. Wonder if the thief appreciates the quality of the lens? :(

In all honesty the thief would most likely be appreciating the price he gets for it.

What goes around, comes around. Well, that's what I like to believe anyway.

Hopefully the scallywag will awake one day short of a todger

Probably doesn't even know the value of it and will probably flog it* for fifty quid in the pub.

*The lens that is, not his todger! :D
