I think I have finnally settled on my new equipment that I want to get in the coming weeks.

Consist of - D90 + 35mm f/2 and a 85mm 1.8.

I'm pretty much set on this, but the 85mm is bugging me. Is it worth the extra money to get the 1.4 or not? I was some really nice bokeh when taking street pictures. The price different between the 1.8 and 1.4 is massive.

Any examples of the 2 in action?

I've never used these lens but i'd imagine that you would still get some stunning shots from the 1.8.
 
I am no expert, but my 50mm at 1.8 is superb, but I am sure others will agree when I say get the best you can afford :)
 
I can afford both, but would rather spend the £300+ on something else. But if there is a massive difference then I can justify the extra cash.
 
I am also very interested in peoples views on this. I know one or two on here have used both the 1.8 and the 1.4
 
From the images I've seen on here the 1.4 is a fantastic lens, but the difference in price is more like £4-500 new, which would buy another lens or two....
