I have just acquired another old film camera. Nothing special, but full of sentimental value again.

I was wondering id 828 film was still available anywhere, and if so does anyone develop it, or do you have to do it your self?

Thanks

Dave

Yeah I have seen a few websites that say you can make it by cutting down 120 film. But if that is the only option, that suggest's to me that it would have to be DIY developed, which is a stumbling block for me.

You might be able to find a good pro lab that will do it, i suspect it would cost though. You could email the some of the ones in the sticky at the top, you'd need to remember to get your spools back etc. TBH I suspect the only way to get them developed at a reasonable cost would be to do it your self.

Its not that dear or terribly hard, by the time you paid some one to do something custom a couple of times you'd have paid for your chemicals etc.

Dave: If you don't mind shooting on the sprocket holes and have a spool of 2 I don't mind trying to roll you some 35mm on cut down 120 backing paper, might even Dev it for you if you ask nicely :)

Thank you. I will have a think about it, I might give it a go when I have a bit more time on my hands in that case. :)

EDIT: Cheers Bill.
The camera is just an old Kodak Bantam Coloursnap, worth approximately sod all. But it belonged to my other halves grandad, her dad gave it to me yesterday and I know that pretty much every photo he has of his growing up was taken on it so thought it might be nice to get it running in time for our engagement party and get a couple of recent family snaps with it.

If you have spools (or just one spool even) I'm sure I could sort you something ;)

Yeah I have one spool with it, I can get a second if needed. Cheers Bill! :)

Bung the spool in a jiffy bag to my work address (pm if you don't have it still) and I'll see what I can do for ya.
