Hello,

I know this may be a distant one, but I would like to do some candid pics and some urban pics too. I like that slightly washed out quite isolating colour look you get with 70's and 80's film work, where it almost seems orange tints are there. Any idea how to get that with a digi slr. I am more keen on taking pics first time from cam, not days processing pics.

Thanks in advance.

Most likely you will only be able to recreate this in post, but if you've a newer, amateur/mid range DSLR it may have "scene modes" and "film filters" etc... That you could try.

You mean like that?

That's cross processing, and you're not going to get anything worthwhile out of the camera going for that look. Just learn the software, it's a part of photography. It only takes a couple of minutes to get the colours done.
