7Dii and what second body?

I use a 7DMkII and a 6D with wide angle, not really a cheap body but it does work well :)
 
I suppose I shouldn't suggest a second 7D MkII would be the best second body ... anyway something as close in ergonomics / controls to your first 7D MkII is what you should be aiming for.
 
I went for the two 7d mk ii bodies and it's been great just so easy to swap between the two
 
Depends on the wide angle you have... A full frame camera, eg 6D or 5D Mk 1 to Mk 4 would make your current wide angle seem really wide angle as it will record the parts of the image that fall off the side of the smaller sensor in the x1.6 crop sensor cameras.

It's cheap now second hand and packed with features. It's got a similar level of customisation to the 750D without the price tag.
7D is basically a slower version of what you currently have yet is still a superb body. £300 buys a good one that 90% of the time you'll find is barely different to your mk2.
Not sure why everyone else is mentioning another mk2 or 6Ds etc given the spec for cost was "cheap"
 
Need a budget one mans cheap is another mans out of budget!

If I was after a cheap canon dslr I'd buy a 40d as they are stupidly cheap these days!
 
I use a 7d mk 1 as the second body to my mk 2
I used to use a 550D as a second body but found the controls fiddly so when I upgraded to the 7d mk2 I kept the Mk1 as a second body
