Yes
I ordered 2 lighting stands from them on Monday morning before 10am with rapid delivery and still no sign of them . I've contacted them and got a reply of "delivery charge to be refunded the goods were dispatched on the 05/01/10 so should be with you soon . "I'm giving it until Monday then another email to them is called for I think . It really annoys me that they don't have a contact phone number . Has anyone else had any issues with them ?

Not with them. but with another, but at least I got told it was due to the fact the delivery companys can not garantee the time it takes due to weather, and man power shortages. We are not even getting normal post for the last few days.

Never had a problem with them and used them many times, but I suppose there`s always a first. Just bear in mind the weather also as there are problems with the Post Office`s delivery because of it.

Bearing in mind they are based in Guernsey and the weather has been so bad.

Here's what they say in their about us page.

"Why do we take longer to deliver? Sometimes we don't! Being on an island does occasionally mean we get isolated by a freak weather situation. Luckily that's unusual. However, we often find that our deliveries take a day longer than those being sent from the mainland. We know that most of our customers are more than happy to wait a day or so longer when we're saving them so much money."

I have always had a brilliant service from them and maybe a small wait outweighs the price difference with no VAT etc;

I can vouch for the weather here in guernsey.
No planes have been in or out for 3 days due to weather both here and the weather in UK.

We are 2 days behind with our mail as we have had to ship it in instead of flying same day.

If the airport even gets a little fog (very common problem) then the mail can be late.

be patient it will arrive, I am waiting for a few things from the UK too.

Spike

I never realised that they were in Guernsey. I'll go abit easier on them then and give them until Tuesday / Wednesday .

I understand the fog problem from visisting Jersey and I belive that flights are a little easier from there .

I think I'd put it down to the awful weather conditions. 7dayshop are a decent enough firm. I'm sure they've screwed up big style with orders before now, but it's probably an exception rather than the norm. Not that that helps when you're waiting for something...

I'm in the same boat, I've ordered lots of things from them in the past with no problems but this time I ordered something just after Christmas day and still no signs of the goods. Will wait a few more days (15 day royal mail) and then give them a shout.

They are called 7 day for a reason :)

Expect a long delivery wait and you won't end up dissappointed. I ordered some unusual batteries for a clock we use a lot... it's still stopped 5 days later :)

edit... clock is working again now

We have not had any post here for the last three days, so not surprised by lack of delivery.

I always think of them as 7daydelivery - that way I'm not disappointed :D:D

The goods are always good though

Only time i have any issues is when the stock goes onto back order, i was waiting nearly two months on some en-el4 before i eventually gave up

used them a good few times bit hit and miss on delivery times but they can suprise i have never been more than 4 days with anything but would not be suprised at over a week.

Thanks guys , I'll just keep the faith . It's always a worry the first time you use an online retailer .

Just to confirm all the above really, they are slow on delivery - usually takes a few days at best, but with the weather on top as well. I'd drop them an e-mail Tuesday / Wednesday like you said, just to enquire if / when it left the island

I've used them for years and they are very reliable supplier.

But..... delivery is NEVER fast and I've used their "express" postage method a couple of times and found delivery no quicker.

If I was synical (Oh hang on I am :)) I would say that the express postage option results in nothing from them at all other than more profit!

I thought the express postage was to jump the packing/processing queue but used the same delivery methods

And has been said above, they're called 7dayshop for a reason ;)

hi john, i,m a truck driver, and since monday i,ve been out twice. the other three times return to base, rd,s to trecherous . we,re doing our best but it,s a bit dangerous at the moment sorry :D

Ordered from them many times, goods usually arrive within a week but I've seen them take two and that's without christmas and new year to take into account.

I think they are a "one man band" outfit or similar, hence no telephone contact.

I have bought from them twice without a problem, but on another occasion they put what I wanted on backorder (never took any payment), but never came back to say they could not get the goods until I emailed them a few weeks later.

All should be well now I got a royal mail missed you card yesterday ?? ( They must have been out and about on Sunday to catch up . ) 2 parcels too large for letter box to collect . Hope to call in the morning for them .
