Looking to add a couple of spare batteries to the bag, just in case I lose power whilst out.
Was looking at compatible replacements and came across THESE for my 60D, they are about a quarter of the price of the Canon ones but are they any good?

Has anyone bought compatibles before and been satisfied, or is it a case of you get what you pay for ;)

I bought a battery from 7dayshop for my 7D seems to work exactly the same as my Canon one.

was it the one in my linky ? seems for the price it might be worth a punt, was just worried incase it won't be read by the camera :(

I've a couple of their batteries for the 500D, no problems at all, they're fine

Iv got 2 for my 50D

Apart from them Being silver I can't tell them apart from my two official canon ones..... :D

You should have enough replies by now to confirm that you're on safe ground but just to add my penn'orth I only ever use 7Dayshop batteries in my 1DII, 5DII, G5 and in fact any domestic item which takes specific or generic rechargeable batteries.

By the way before you order, the 7Day is reputed to be how long they sit on your order before doing anything to ship it! It's the name of the business, not a guarantee of how quickly you'll get the goods.

I have 2 batteries from 7dayshop for my 5DII and they're great.

The only difference between the 7DayShop batteries and the Canon ones is that the camera doesn't remember the charge level of multiple 7dayshop batteries as it does with the Canon ones...makes no difference to me though, I use a battery until its dead then pop in another one! :) Bish bash bosh.

I bought 2 for £25 I think...beats the £60 EACH for the Canon ones hands down.

I bought four 7DS ones for my Nikon D700/D90, at the start they lasted longer than the Nikon genuines, but now they go down really quickly and they don't seem to hold their charge very well when not being used either.

id agree ive got two - they dont hold there charge for long eg go on holiday and they start to 'drop' and when using they dont last as long BUT they are cheap enough to not really worry just dont leave them uncharged for two weeks and expect them to work .

Thanks guys for all the comments, will take a punt for the price, might get the Hanhel one from UK Digital as well which seems to get good reviews.

I'm going to need a couple of spare batteries for my Sony A65. I have just found a site called digital-parts.co.uk

Has anyone used these before?

If these are to be avoided, where else is best to try for batteries?

been using them in 20D and 5Dmk2 for years (the 20D ones last about 4 years before they stop holding charge). the 2 in the 5d grip easily last for a whole days shooting, probably 1.5/2 days.

The only difference between the 7DayShop batteries and the Canon ones is that the camera doesn't remember the charge level of multiple 7dayshop batteries as it does with the Canon ones...makes no difference to me though, I use a battery until its dead then pop in another one! :) Bish bash bosh.

im always a bit confused by these statements, from what i can see on my 5Dmk2 menu each battery has 2 separate levels, 2 separate shutter counts and 2 separate health meters?
