7d upgrade to 5d mk2....

That's what I thought until I saw the price is still nearly the same as new 5DIII from HDEW.

i didn't realize they were still demanding that kind of money but never the less there still a bloody good camera

i see / hear a lot of slating going on about the 5d 2 auto focus but to be quite frank i have never had an issue with it i used mine at RIAT last year and considering the weather it was fine i have also used it alongside the 50d ( when i still owned the 50d ) for wildlife to compare both cameras and the images from the 5d 2 seem to resolve more detail even when cropped
again AF wasn't a problem
i think the 5d2 is a very good camera and at the current second hand prices a bit of a bargain despite the mentioned AF shortfalls that some users have and low continuous burst rate which i do find a little limiting but not a deal breaker

Yeah just about, slow and sluggish........... Its the FF im really after and to try and lose the low light noise! Its killing me :-s

I wasn't aware the 50d had any focusing issues, now I know, I want to try something that hasn't to see what I'm missing out on. this is going to cost me money isn't it.

it doesn't really
there are better cameras out there with more precise focusing etc.. but thats life there's always going to be something better
