... oh no, not the horrible camera I was referring to, it was the lovely glass that it's using... :D
 
That lens looks pretty good! How much do these go for? Any shots taken with that lens about?
 
That Samyang 8mm f/3.5 is wiiiiiide, and cheap... Interesting...

You can find the lens on eBay, and online; also sold under other brand names which elude me right now - sells for around £220 but is manual focus only....
 
I only just recently discovered how much difference good glass can have on video on the 7d. Of course I knew it would make a difference but since it's moving image I just figured the difference was negligible.

Then I filmed my nephew with the 100mm 2.8L and was amazed and the sharpness:

I love the 3D feeling a shallow DOF gives to a video recording! Got to give it a go soon on my 7D, although the best I can do is f2 at the moment (I miss my f1.4 lenses)
