7D original software for a Mac

Just bought a macbook pro and am trying to get my 7D to run on it..

However, the original software CD is at home in Germany, and I only have the windows version installed on my old lappy....is there any way to download the original?

I've looked online but can't find a way to do it that makes sense to my brain Found something that talked about renaming files in the softeare update download, but couldn't make sense of it

Can anyone help please?

Try HERE for a download of the original disc.

It does come a from a trusted/known source, but still check it with your a/v package.

You can fool the canon update to install the software from scratch.

You just need to modify the package contents, delete update.plist.

The most simple methord is to use the site linked above and Methord 3

Download the very old vesion install and then update to the latest.

Couldn't get it to work... I'll wait until I get home in 3 weeks and see if I can find the CD..
