I use Medium format setup along with my Digital setup. I like having the control and the huge amount of detail with film, and theres something about it which you can't do with digital. Not to mention the fun of using out of date films, poloriod, toy cameras and of course Cross Processing.

i dont believe there are any digital cameras really , just a myth ,,,,mind you a lot of the people saying hello start with the line ,,,ive just got a new dslr ,, dont see all that many starting with ,, ive just got a new film camera .

Something with "Film" in the title is more likely to attract film users than most threads :geek:

I only ever used film for pro stuff. Now I'm retired I only use digital. The lack of quality doesn't bother me as I don't intend to sell any.

I did do some comparisons with a digi back for my 10x8. The resulting prints, at same size ( 20x16 inches) were no where near the quality of a colour print from a transparency.

B&W was even worse, though to be fair I had been a Zone System User for many years having attended an Ansel Adams summer school in the 70's and the digi back was an early one.

Kodaks plans for the future according to trade press is to invest heavily in the modern photo booth (digital printers) so not sure that they would want to influence figures.

As most Pros started in the film era they probably have (relatively worthless) equipment which they retain and use for special events/requirements which would boost that figure. ..........or all pros are liars!
