I've been saving and watching the price of the Mk2 70-200 for a few months now and just about everytime I look the price falls, recently by quite a bit. Even Jessops have a competitive price on it for £1899.

How much more do you think this lens will come down, anywhere near the price point where the Mk1 used to be?

I know the lens is new and they likely had a load of Mk1's to sell before the price came down and getting the stock levels up on the Mk2.

I still think another couple of hundred will come off this before xmas.

Wishfull thinking or do you reckon there's still some more to come off?

Canon L lenses tend to stabilise at around 64% of the RRP. For the new 70-200 the RRP is £2800, so I reckon the price will level out at £1800.

Camera world are currently selling it for £1799.99, seems to be the cheapest price at the moment.

Not sue if it will drop much more this year.
