Hello,

I have noticed that 7 day shop sell their own brand of filters that are VERY cheap in comparison to other brands i.e 12uk pounds for a neutral density filter and the same for polarisers. I am concerned about the quality and coatings. BUT... they could be a bargain!

Has anyone here got any experience of 7dayshop own brand filters??

ps. I have bought thier own brand batteries and they work perfectly fine.

Cheers!

Rhys.

UV filters protect my lenses from getting broken, and the circular polarisers sure saturate those colours and deepen those blues.

I have had no experience with other filters, but I certainly haven't noticed a decrease in image quality.

I have acouple of 7dayshop multi coated filters and they seem fine to me.

Thanks, I know what the results will be (or should!) I have had both polarisers and ND's before. But I have recently upgraded my lenses and they all have a larger thread, hence the shopping around for some new ones. The 7dayshop brand caught my eye, but I'll not part with any cash until I know they are OK!!

Ah, thanks Rusk, do you notice any loss of quality? are the filters coated?
cheers.

They seem good value...

But somehow, I feel it akin to having a beautiful Paul Smith suit, and then wearing a George at ASDA shirt and tie...don't your posh lenses deserve more?*

Cheers,
James

* I realise this is probably why I'm broke.

You can get 7dayshop own filters both normal and multi coated but of course you pay abit more for the multi coated ones.

I haven't notice a change in the images at all really but then I aint much of a photography pro still learning. They seem great for the money.

I tried this guy on ebay for my new 67mm MC UV filter

great price and it doesn't say 7dayshop on it

If the link doesn't work then search for Plumtree-photo on ebay. He has loads of filter types and sizes at a great price. He always got back to me quickly when I asked questions. He is in the USA so it takes acouple of weeks to get the items but worth the wait.

I've used them (UV, Polariser, warming that came in a kit, manufactured by Tiffen) for almost a year on my Fujifilm S9600 and they've been super. Now just ordered a 7dayshop UV protector for my Sigma 18-200 OS that sits on my Nikon D300.
