7 Day Shop Lens hood - Any Good ?

Looking for a hood for a Canon 85mm f1.8 and see that 7 dayshop do a cheap compatible (£5.99 inc P&P) - anyone tried them and are they any good ? - or should i just stop being tight and pay £25.00 for a genuine one

As long as the dimensions are OK (large enough to be effective but not encroaching on image, and not too small that its useless), It is really just a bit of plastic. I have never used one from 7dayshop but had many other products from them with no issues.

Everything I have had from 7 Day Shop has been very good and at the right price.

Most third party cheapies are a bit shiny inside, which kinda defeats the object. Line it with self-adhesive black felt - 79p from Hobbycraft

Thats what was worring me ............ the felt looks like a simple fix thought , must be worth a punt.

I have bought 4 different lenhoods from 7Day Shop and never found anything wrong with them...no reflections etc.

I too have purchased 7dayshops own brand lens hoods and and filters and never had any issues, The best company to deal with imo
