7-30 day shop update... not good!

I was waiting for a product from them for about 3 weeks, I messaged there support and they sent me another which came straight away. 2 weeks later and the original product arrived lol. Oh well for what you pay, it's worth the wait.

Wasn't a 5Dmk 2 was it:D

still waiting for 2 of my 8 Gb SD cards. All ordered at the same time. I arrived in a packet. Why can they not put 3 into one packet?

The replacement 2 arrived after I informed CS.

Rubbish company, had problem after problem and very poor aftercare

They charged me 4 times for one item, I didn't receive the item and had to beg them to get the duplicate charges back. They still ended up taking the original payment. Joke.

They won't send in one packet for vat reasons, that policy will probably change soon.

Announced last week goods from Guernsey to be charged VAT from next April, still good value,
Jim

Lots of guys in the film section, including myself, use them regularly. You have to excuse the sometimes snail pace delivery for the sake of making savings. Depends what your priorities are, though I've never had anything take longer than a week, maybe it's because they have a decent stock of film, who knows.

Used them loads, never had a problem.

If you need something quick, these guys are not for you though.

They have just moved to bigger premices here in Guernsey so there might have been a few glitches during the transision period.

Like said if you need it early then these are not for you. they send in seperate packages as soon as the price goes over what used to be £18 then you needed to state what it was on parcel and like they send out 1000's every week they do get investigated, anything over that price you HAVE to pay VAT on hence seperate packaging.

Its not just you guys thta have to wait, I ordered something the other week and it took 7 days to reach me and i live 2 miles away lol.

Just took delivery of a couple of 1DsIII compatible batteries. Ordered them on Saturday, arrived 08.3-0 this am. I'm happy with such service.

Not quite WEX but not exactly shabby either.

Will definitely use them again.

Ordered a battery 7 days ago so so far living up to their name!

I've ordered loads of items from them over 10 years and never had a problem, great service!

I've ordered quite a few times from them and never had a problem apart from the delivery does take around 7 days.

7 weeks and counting.......Maybe they meant weeks not days?!

You are assuming absolutely no responsibility on the part of Royal Mail?

Have you logged into 7dayshop to check whether your order is marked as dispatched or not?

Even better, I have emailed them I think three times......They just say that due to high demand blah blah, do i want to keep on back order blah blah, no idea when they are going to get them in.

Gert the picture

Ah so its on back order not just not turned up.
It should have told you when ordering it was on back order.
I have bought a few things from them and at the time of ordering it say "on back order" so that means that they are waiting for it to come in.
It took nearly 4 weeks for some camera batteries but they got here in the end.

You now have a choice cancel the order or wait, it really is that simple.

If they are waitning for a supply then they can hardly send them out to you, have you looked to try order again and see if they are in stock?? i can not seem to see the ones you want on their list of batteries.

Try phoning them, I hate emails you always seem to get fobbed off, speak to a real person to sort it there and then

Pretty hard if you put into the search AAA eneloops and nothing comes up!!!!!

Have you phoned them yet???? If so what did they say???

Ah roght ok got you now, sorry I did not know who made them I thought enloop was the make.
Are these the ones that you ordered if so it says that they are still on order.
This would explain the long delivery time to you.
Batteries

Still might be worth a phone call, they might know when they are due in.

I have waited for a couple of things, but it is well worth it for the value, out of stock, OK, it happens, used 7Dayshop quite a few times now and found them to be very reliable,

Please explain the vat loophole where each goes into a different packet? Amazon are "based" in the CIslands, but manage to put lots of things in a big box!

It's pretty simple, it's full name is Low Value Consignment Relief, and means any parcel under £15 (was £18 until November 1st) is exempt from UK vat when sent from the CI (as it officially outside the EU).

So if your order is for £30 they bundle in 2 packages, £44 in 3, and so on.

CMD is to close the system altogether next year, as of the 1st of April 2012.

When you buy from amazon you pay VAT on the stuff you buy, so no need not to send it in seperate boxes.

When I buy from amazon the VAT is taking off the price shown on the screen, for example the starwars boxed blue ray set is £48 from amazon but I only paid £40 for it, you buying it you would pay £48

I've only ever had one gripe with 7day and that was some rubbish nimh batteries. Because they where so cheap I didnt bother complaining.

I ordered 2 x 1d3 batteries last Saturday they arrived Tuesday, not bad for a shop that calls itself 7day ( you can shop 7 days a week ? )

Those that have had bad dealings it's sad, I once had a package go missing, they asked me to wait 14 days then without question sent me another order.

Guernsey is appealing against the ruling and hopefully they will be successful as it would mean that a lot of people will lose their jobs.

I have lots of friends in Guernsey and so I visit often and I buy all my vat free items when I am there.

Well I finally gave up as they said they couldn't supply these batteries, they just gave a standard 'unexpected demand' reply. I finally cancelled and asked for a refund, which they said would take 4-6 days......That was mid January. bearing in mind thye were ordered in November. What appalling service and communication.

I will never use them again!
