My 550d has a ratio of 3:2. Having taken a picture recently and with no cropping done in Lightroom I printed off a 6x4 at Tesco for quickness. A portion of the picture was chopped.

1) is this my doing?
2) is this tesco and their equipment

Depends what you mean by portion?

When printing a borderless print a small area will be cropped all round the edge to ensure the 'ink' fully extends to the edge of the paper.

I found this trying to print 5x7 at home. Really annoying as i kept missing vital parts of the scene no mater how I tried to crop :(

Admiral that link just shows me how to crop to a size. I know this already. As my post says my picture is already 6x4 so wondered why bits were being chopped off when printed

That link was really for Photoroo.

I explained a possible cause for your issue in my first post.

Are you printing borderless? How much of the image have you lost?

I'm not great yet with Lightroom. I just cropped my picture to 6x4 and saved as jpeg and to be honest I hoped for the best.

I found the same recently just trying out Asda and wonder if they have increased the image by 1 or 2 percent just to make sure the image goes to the edge, or something. Losing a millimeter or two wouldn't be noticed by a lot of folk.

I guess that's one of the problems with using high street/supermarket printing rather than a pro lab.
