I am planning to upgrade my 350d to a 600d. Do you think now is the ideal time rather than waiting and there be a potential glut of 350d kits in the market?

I think that the price of a 350d has dropped as far as it can.
I think the 650d will have much more of an impact on 600d / 550d bodies.

As Rob says, there have been numerous models between the 2 bodies.

Yes the launch of the 650 will have an impact on the 600 and probably 550, but the older you go, the less of an impact a new model has.

I doubt it will make much if any difference to the 350 price.

The new 650 looks very nice and if I was looking to buy a 600 new, I think is be tempted to get the 650 instead.

The 600D that you are looking to purchase will drop more than the camera you are selling so if any waiting is to be done it is for 600D prices to drop.

I would just buy anyway as waiting doesn't fit with my 21st century instant gratification issues...

I read that canon are continuing to produce the 600d along side the 650d and are dropping the 550d

I have seen new 600d prices drop by £60 in places. Hope the 350d has hit the floor.

You could buy a 350D for £60 on eBay, so I doubt any new release will make much difference to the price of the 350D. The prices of the 600D are only going down, so maybe worth holding off if you can.

To be honest that seems to have been the norm for XXXD models for the last few years

My money is on a 700D for around Christmas 2013 :naughty:
