600ex-rt questions

Afternoon all,

Just purchased a couple of 600ex-rt units and have a question. Coming from a 580exII setup, with Yongnuo 622c triggers.

• When using in Master/Slave config. Should the slave update its settings in real time? Ie...Master = A Slave = B. I apply Manual flash settings on B (slave) at 1/64th power. Should the slave LCD display on the slave update to display 1/64th? It isnt doing...Likewise if Im in ETTL on the slave and apply a +/-ve exposure value, the slave display doesnt update to show this? Only when the flash is fired does the display update itself? AFTER the flash fires?

Yes, the screens update only after flash, but that first flash will conform to the new setting.

Seems crazy, but fair enough if thats what it does! The 580exII's and Yongnuo 622's updated in real time, even on the slave.

Im guessing there's no custom function or way to alter this?

I suppose its just a trust thing, once you know the slave flash "really" does update it's settings remotely, there's no need to worry!
