As Jack Dempsey hinted, that was a bit squeaky for the home side just now!

Always love a prop try!!! (About 44 minutes.)

ETA - I'll extend that to the whole front row! (Green shirt that time.)

Ireland not with it today, case of complacency perhaps?

[edit] thsy go on to score 3 tries not long after, making it a bit more respectable but I would still say this was below par performance overall for Ireland - though they pick it up from midway through second half, it was against a deflated England with a man down

The laugh was at the need for the edit! :)

Shame about the cards - IMO the red only deserved a yellow and the yellow deserved a red but I'm not a referee! Could have been interesting had both sides stayed at 15 men and was still good to watch with England a man down.

Can't take anything away from Ireland - a well deserved Grand Slam. And thank you, Johnny Sexton for a fabulous career (even if Leinster have beaten the Chiefs every time they've met!!!)

I feel like I reverse jinxed them :D they did start to play a lot better [which wasn't hard!] after I posted initially.

I think Johny said he's going to play the WC and then call it a day?

Binge watching 3 games, good afternoon that.

My take..............

France deserved the win, Wales though, a definate improvement.

Scotland v Italy, a tighter game than it looked to the eye actually, Italy are a coming team I think.

Ireland v England, much better from England but the right team won, and a well deserved Grand Slam.

Looking forward to the WC now.

I see that Steward's red card has been cancelled. A bit late for England but good news for him and his club.

FWIW, I reckon Ireland would still have won had the card been only a yellow.

I too don't think it was a red. At the time and with the emotion involved, I may have but I'm happy to retract. The yellow later in the game though, should've been red IMHO.

Anyway, doesn't matter now, looking forward to the WC now.

Edit :-, meant to say, I don't think either way, the card decisons would've made much of a difference to the result. It might've been tighter but Ireland were the best team in the moment. England still managed to give them a game though, despite being a man down.

Completely agree, down to the cards being the wrong way round! (See post #44.)

Roll on 08/09/2023!!! (And I'll be rooting for the All Blacks, despite some French ancestry!)
