Yes
So, the lure of FULL FRAME is starting to whisper in my ear... & and I'm SURE it's starting to sit on my shoulder for most of the day......

What/where/who are offering the best prices on a body only, with interest FREE..... Ideally 12 mnths.... ( I'm not keen on paying up front)
If I have to pay up front to get a GREAT deal, then I will.....

Not so interested in a lens kit, as I've got what I need..... with the exception to the 70-200 2.8L :D

If you've spotted anything, I'd appreciate it !!

Many thanks

Phil

Jessops look about the best - I am tempted to go there for my Nikon d700. Dont forget to use Quidco too and get a further 4% off the price.

hit up camera price buster and then see who offers the credit you need

what about buying secondhand can you afford it straight then?

Thanks for all the responses.....

Just to put this to bed ......

After much deliberation (with oneself) I opted to go with the Jessops offer.

Reasons:

1. It gives 12 months interest free - in the form of a deposit and equal payments over the remainder of the time...

Jessops were only £30 more than the 'cheapest' listed on camerapricebuster...

2. Go via Quidco and get 4% back :naughty:

3. I used a £50 off E-coupon :D

So I get the Camera, I pay for it over the 12mnths as I wanted to (and with bit knocked off for good measure...)

Bargain !

Cheers

Where'd you get the e-coupon from?

Where'd you get the e-coupon from?

The coupon was listed alongside on the Camerapricebuster website.... theres a few there for Jessops.....

Save £50 on orders over £1000, code SPRING50 (Online redemption only - will not be matched in-store. Excludes SLRs and lenses.)

But it reduced the overall price :D even though it says not for SLR's ...... I did throw in a Grip.... so maybe it was fooled ??

Looking at your sig it seems you've already got some glass for your new toy! Enjoy the 5D2, it is a great bit of kit.

p.s. I hope you've got plenty of Compact Flash, you're going to be needing it.... ;-)

Yes, Thanks ;)

That was my next port of call.......

I'll have to have a butchers to see what people recommend.....

Cheers

I'm using the Sandisk Extreme III 30Mb/s cards (now re-branded as Sandisk Ultra 30Mb/s).

Last ones I bought were ~£45 for 16GB from 7dayshop. Now £47.99 though! The 8GB ones are only £20 if you don't mind carrying more of the smaller capacity.

I find them a good compromise between read speed (for downloading) and cost.

Funny you should say that..... I was browsing this afternoon and spotted Richard (Hoppy) mention those cards and the fact that they seemed reasonably priced, I've ordered 2 to see how they go.. Ha !!

Cheers for that ...
