Where is the cheapest place going just now for a 5dmkII in the uk or at least cost to the uk.

Looking to get myself a new body and would like to know wheres the cheapest.

Thanks in advance.
 
if you are happy with an import try Ian at flashcameras.co.uk think he has them around the £1430 mark when i was checking some other kit
 
£1,340.00 at HDEW Cameras.

Has anyone spotted it any cheaper?
 
but grey import
big question some say they do but most No support to grey imports you go on gut feeling or risk it your money you loose no one elses
 
My understanding is that for Canon products at least the international warranty should be valid in the UK. The companies importing from HK all seem to offer the facility to handle repairs for you. Which could mean they ship the item back to HK so may be a bit of a wait. I think it is probably worth it though for the saving.
 
Hdew cameras use a Canon approved service centre in the UK. Just contact them and they will let you know where and when to send it. I had a 5D2 off them in november and have just ordered a 5D3 this week. Grey import or not, they give a UK receipt with vat no. etc, and Canon will accept their receipt for warranty purposes.

International warranty is on all their lenses, but not bodies.
Always wondered what the difference was with BH Photo at NY where they advertise both USA sourced lenses and Grey Import prices.
If both are covered by internation warranty - what's the difference? :shrug:
 
Canon will warranty repair a body, providing you have a UK invoice from a UK supplier, which HDEW and Ian @ flash camera are
 
A relative claims to have purchased body only for £1100 but couldn't remember the site. Any ideas?
 
Dunno, could have been Best Buy when they closed down I guess
 
I went for the Wilkinson Cameras deal and received the Camera and Flash - both brand new unopened etc. Can sell the flash on for around £300 making the cost for the body £1369. I'll keep the flash though as I was after one anyway.
