At the time of writing according to Camera Price Buster they are the cheapest uk suppliers of both the body alone and the kit, the body price at £1600 is nothing spectacular but the kit price at only £1973 is.. see here

That's a bloomin good price. Does it correspond with the other offer prices on ABC for 5D plus other lens etc? Or do you think it could be a typo?

Holy crap...I have a thread contemplating moving over to Canon FF...dammit!! So tempted it's unreal!

That is so tempting. I have been thinking of moving from Olympus, this could just nudge me over the edge.

£185 cheaper than buying from a well known trader selling used !.

I would think that's a typo on their part, given that the price differential for adding a grip and extra battery to that kit is an additional £600.

I'd bet it's a typo, though if it is they seem to be in the habit of it-they had a 60d +lens at an outrageous price last month but didn't honour any orders and the price was quickly upped.

Jacobs were selling at this price earlier this year so may be correct.

If they were it's not showing on camerpricebuster history..

I can confirm Jim is right because I informed a few mates of that price when it appeared, the Jacobs offer was only for a few days and likely not reported to CPB in time,

Camera price buster is not the be all and end all on camera prices, I have found UK suppliers selling cheaper than the prices on that site before by well established retailers, CPB IIRC is run by one man and relies a lot on being informed of the latest prices.

I assumed that it had some sort of tracking set up thus providing they ran some sort of update it would automatically update their listings?

That could very well be a development of the site but it was mentioned on here a while back that it was run by one man and relied on being informed of the prices, and the question arises as to whether the retailers have to pay to be listed or he generates commission income via his links or both.

Thanks so much for this, just seen the same deal and came to see if it was real. I'm off to hold Natwest at gunpoint tomorrow

I emailed them to ask if it was correct and if they had stock yesterday at about 2.30 and have not had a reply yet...

Out of stock and price back up, was just about to hit purchase too :(

Well, I have just had a reply to my email telling me it was a mistake and that they are out of stock. It was friendly though !
