Well I suppose that for 9/10 types of photography the Mk2 is still the most amazing camera and not feeling dated in any way. Just wondering but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's 'new' sales figures are still very high.

As I think about going full frame I know that this is will be my choice if I can't afford the mrk3 when the time is right.

Hdew are currently selling EU stock with a 3 year guarantee for £2,299 http://www.hdewcameras.co.uk/canon-eos-5d-mark-iii-body-961-p.asp I got mine from them at the end of march for £2,859 and they were the first, to my knowledge, to drop from Canon's RRP.
