Yes
I just bought online a 5D MKII body for £1,945.99 and that was with postage and a 16GB card (and a free MIS, not that I know what one is:thinking:) The site said that there was 1 in stock but I just have a horrible feeling that it's going to turn out to be out of stock.

This is a good price? It's late, and I'm tired and...oh my! what have I done!?:|

I can almost hear my bank account weeping, it's over 2 months wages gone in a few clicks. *gulps*

But if I do get this camera then woo! yay!

*needs sleep*

Good purchase dude :)

http://www.pcwb.co.uk - Which is PC World Business. Address is in Bury so if anything goes wrong I can storm round there, lol

I've bought it now so fingers crossed. I know my luck though, I'm just sure something will go wrong. I'll let you know if it turns up next week.

Yeah, let me know how it turns out. I be interested to know. :)

Good luck.

I wouldn't say it's an insanely good price, it is very good though!

I paid £1980 for mine delivered (uk stock) from a proper shop. Didn't have a card with it though or an MIS.

£2k?!!

Amazon were doing them for £1840-ish, I canned my order there a while back, but you can get them for £1800 no problem just a week or so back.

And now they're up to £2,249. Quite a jump in a short space of time.

I think if I'd have realised quite how much they were going to go up by I'd have got one sooner. I originally was going to upgrade in about a years time, but realised if I waited I wouldn't be able to afford to.

UPDATE:

As I feared it was out of stock (typical) so I've just cancelled the order.

Can't find it in stock anywhere for under 2K.

That link for Dabs shows it to now be £2105.99 with none in stock!

I checked the PCWB site and saw this - £1,914.85 - £2,202.07 inc VAT

Maybe a good thing it was OOS.

I just bought a 5DII + 24-105 f/4 L + BG-E6 for under £2.5k incl. VAT & delivery.

Take this with a pinch of salt. But another member here, who I will not name (I will invite him to post), made a similar purchase. Needless to say, a month later, no camera, and a lousy excuse from the seller. He is having to take his payment back, in installments! He has got £700 back so far. He used the Amazon Marketplace.

Be careful.

Gary.

Ouch!

As far as I know my money hasn't been taken out of my account. I phoned tonight and it was all cancelled there and then (at least that's what I'm told, I'm still awaiting the confirmation email) It was PC World I ordered through so a known name. Kinda frustrating I'm not going to be getting the camera I want, but it's not the end of the world:)

Got mine about 3 weeks ago from the London camera exchange (strand) - it was 2100 pounds, ok not an absolute bargain but the guy in the shop knew it was coming in stock the next week, it was available and i've got it. So to me, it was worth it.

As background the previous week to this i had been trying to source a "bargain" 5D1 - the first one turned out to be out of stock (but only 2 weeks after my card was charged) and the second was faulty. I think the sad thruth is that there aren't many bargains left out there anymore...

That's awesome, properly awesome.

BAWBEE where did you end up getting yours? As EG said I have recently been stung on Amazon by some jackass tog in London who I think was after a cheap loan. Anyhoos I should get all my dough back at the end of the month and will be looking to purchase again.

Edmond22,

It was a private sale. It started with a BG-E6 on advert on EOS Classifieds and ended up with the full kit. I had put the cart before the horse in buying the grip first while waiting a good deal for the body - I knew I wanted one but saw a good deal on the grip and it grew from that. I'll reveal all over the weekend after receiving the kit tomorrow - hopefully.

Nice one BB my deal was to good to be true hence the nonsense taking place now. Think I`ll just go to a shop next time, so as I can see the whites of their eyes when I hand my hard earned dough over :D
