HI I have 50d just wanted to know as I have the 70-200 f2.8 would it be worth changing to the 5d or not

It depends on what you want to shoot and what you need the 50d doesn't give you.
Personally, I wouldn't bother with the mk1. Compared to the 50d you'll find it very slow and clunky to use, and it's high ISO doesn't get close to the mk2.

But does the 50d crop the 70-200 I've had the 5d before with my 24-105 as I wanted to try full frame

Yes, the smaller sensor crops every image by 1.6!*

The 50d excels in many other areas, such as AF and burst rate.
Personally the OP would do well to use the 5d for landscapes and portraits and keep the 50d for anything moving, hence why the OP needs to tell us what he's shooting

One of the main things for me when i bought a FF camera was live view. If you need it and use it on your 50D then you will miss out as the 5dmk1 doesnt have it.
I use it all the time for landscapes, in fact i never use the viewfinder for landscapes apart from rough framing when its on the tripod before fine tuning it with LV.
The cheapest canon FF Camera that has it is the 5dmk2 but for not much more money now you can pick up a 6D which is a world away in terms of image quality / iso handling.
