5D Mk II battery grip

Bloody heavier enough as it is and the genuine battery gets me thru a full day when helping to shoot a wedding.

But if you want it for under £40, go for it. If it's crap, then all you've wasted is £40 ;-)

I purchased a grip (not LCD) for a 5D mk2 form this seller and it didnt work all the functions and was not a very well made copy, sent it back hassle free no problems with the seller.

Thanks guys, canon it is then.

I've got a Canon battery grip, really can't fault the thing. It does what it says on the tin. I've had copies before and third party add ons like this and they really just don't sit right.

I tried a 3rd party grip for the Mk2 and as stated about you loose at least one function, ie the "Battery Information" in the Menu. This may not be important to you but I quickly reverted to a Canon grip.

Sorry fella but if you buy the MeiKe grip you lose none of the functionality of the Canon one. My MeiKe grip gives you the battery info on the camera for both batteries.

Can't comment on the 5D but I have a third party grip on my 7D and it works just fine, in fact I wouldn't waste the money on a Canon one for my camera.

Is the one you linked to the MeiKe grip? Also where did you get your extra battery from?

you must be seriously weak if you think the 5D2 is heavy lol

not with my 3rd party grip. [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] paying £200 for a canon one when you can get a chinese knock off for £50 that does exactly the same thing.

 - No loss of any functionality at all with my Meike grip either.

Where do you get your batteries from? Do you use 3rd party batteries with it, or the canon ones?

Sorry not to get back to this too soon I've been busy all day.

The link I gave is tot he one I got, same company, same grip. Posted in the UK and took a few days to arrive.

For batteries I dealt with Batterybussiness on ebay for OEM batteries. I have 2 and they are indistinguishable from my origional. In fact I have no idea which one my origional one is now LOL :D
