5D II - Wish I had a crystal ball

Looking to get a 5D Mark II in the next couple of weeks, does anybody think the prices will drop much further or will Canon perhaps offer a cashback deal like they have done sometimes at this time of year?

It's hard to know whether to wait a bit or take the plunge now!

Kerso of here was the cheapest recomended supplier, with the likes of Amozon and Warehouse express very close. depending on how you pay

you could of course wait till they replace it , and pick up a bargain
if you want one buy one, they will always get cheaper............its a time thing

Considering how long the previous 5D went on for, if you're looking at waiting then it might take a while! If I were you I'd go for it. If I had the cash at the minute I might be doing the same!

The exchange rate might go up or down. Cashback might come and go. You could be waiting for ever.

Only thing I would say is that prices usually hold in the run up to Christmas. Usually

I reckon that come 01/01/2010 when the Vat increases again, there *may* be a small price rise, or at least less offers around

Take the plunge - go for it now - I did this with my 7D this week, found a deal I was happy with and went for it.

The prices will always come down eventually, usually the day after I make my purchase !!

End of they day, if you buy now and they offer cashback of £100 in March, you will have got that much use of it by then
