Yes
52 weeks.

I've tried three times now to complete a 365
project and failed all three times so I'm
going to take it easy and see how I go
with one a week rather than one a day.
The majority of my work will be lo-fi, lomo
and film photographs. If they're not, they'll
more than likely be edited to look that way;
that's just the way I work.

WEEK TWENTY EIGHT.

4799436745_bbf8947dfe_z.jpg

friday july 16th 2010.
I picked up my new toy; an Olympus Trip 35.
It's beautiful and came with a roll of film.
I'm unsure what kind so it'll be a nice surprise
to get them developed. I'm also excited to
finish the roll so I can get into the back and
find out the month and year it was made.

next photo: 19th - 25th July.

Thanks :) I'm super excited.

Welcome aboard and good luck. I used to have one of those cameras and it was stunning

Thank you! I've yet to see my results :)

WEEK TWENTY NINE.

4816136854_44b39ffe04_z.jpg

wednesday july 21st 2010.
It's beginning to feel like all I do is wait around
for the next big thing to happen. Or the next
small thing. Or anything.

next photo: 26th July - 1st August.

Two quality images Alex, week one is splendid, it is indeed a good looking camera and i like how you have processed this.
Week 2 is simple effective and the composition is very strong for me.

good luck with the 52, i like this style too so ill be interested to see much more.

Thank you!

WEEK THIRTY.

monday july 26th 2010.
it's always nice to be a part of a group
of like minded beings, all after similar
goals and aspiring towards similar things.
It's comforting but it sure as hell gets
boring sometimes. I like to swim against
the tide.

next photo: 2nd - 8th august.

Sorry for the double post.

As of... a few seconds ago, my plan changed. I was going to just go for 52 weeks and end it a year from now. But no. I want to start another on January 1st. So this will be a mini 52 weeks. A trial run, so to speak. I wonder what week the 52 is up to...

Hi Alex, welcome to the 52 roller coaster. 3 excellent shots, so you're off to a cracking start. This week we're in week 30.

I remember the trip and had one to use when I was a boy... (man... that makes me sound old...;))

Thank you! I'm on the hunt for a Trip manual so I can get the most out of it before I put a roll through it.

Here you are: Trip 35 manual.

I'm not sure if it tells you, but you can lock the exposure by half-pressing the shutter button. This is good if, for example, there is a lot of white sky in the picture - point the camera down to meter off the grass more, half press button then reframe and shoot.

You should experiment with exposure at first, as sometimes those old meters aren't as accurate as modern ones. When I had one I had to set the ASA to give 1/3 stop more, unless I was using a yellow filter in which case it metered correctly. (B&W of course)

WEEK THIRTY-ONE.

4857190129_472789188c_z.jpg

tuesday august 3rd 2010.
I seem to be waiting for a lot of changes
to come. Whilst proving stressful and infuriating,
it provides a nice contrast.

next photo: 9th - 15th august.

WEEK THIRTY-TWO.

4879004474_44319eeb83_z.jpg

tuesday august 10th 2010.
I'm tired. Who said moving house was easy?
And I get to do it all over again in twenty-two days.

next photo: 16th - 22nd august.

I like this last image - dark, haunting and compelling.
