52 from Dark Star - 26/52 Night 1 and Night 2

I am slowly working my way through the 52's. :| Your reflection pic is fab, lovely and clear (sorry I don't know the tenchnical language  )

Being a mum of children similar ages to yours I really liked the thinking behind the History pic.

Thanks Angela - glad you like them so far :)

Week 4: Surprise

At last I get one in early - had a fair few ideas about this one and this idea came to me this afternoon - I might still play with the other ideas if I get time :)

Lessons:

1) Attention to detail - in the first shots the egg shell was mucky and I wasted them :(

2) Don't overthink it! This is the simplest of my ideas and for me works well :)

3) Don't be phased by a hard sounding theme :) Something will pop into your head!!!

I don't think your learning shot is as strong as your first two as it seems more of a record shot although it is on topic, just not much to lift it above the crowd.

Still, looking forward to your next one!

Now that is a great effort and really good. Much better than your previous effort and very well executed, nicely lit, perfectly exposed and great subject matter.

Love it!

Thanks Ed, Thanks Andrea :)

What made me think of it - I have no idea :) I was toying with finding odd things in cans of food or an egg opening and something odd coming out - this was by far the easiest!

And this egg was a double yolker (which was a nice surprise) Scrambled eggs for brekky methinks :)

Glad you like it! :D

I've missed a couple of weeks, sorry.

The slide rule shot is good, I see you feel it didn't push you, which I guess is a shame but sometimes it's about getting the shot.

The surprise shot is really clever, well thought out. I have to agree with Staffitaxi though, how did this pop into your head.;)

Keep up the good work, I do enjoy your images:thumbs:

Great idea, I really like the background and the way the shadow is around the egg too. Having tried today to take a picture against a pale background today, I think I can appreciate the patience this must have taken.

:clap::clap::clap:

Thanks Angela and thanks Mark...

This was done in my little home made light tent on a matt white tile with a piece of white card behind and a couple of spot lamps above :)

And again Mark - the idea just came :) Hopefully I can now relax and try some of my other ideas too now that I've got this weeks in the bag :)

Do a texture shot for the weekly challange, you still have 22 hours left!

I hesitated before looking at this shot but since there was no danger you'd got in first with 'my' idea (still waiting for inspiration:lol:) I decided I couldn't wait until Saturday or Sunday.

It's a cracking idea, John  :coat: :exit::sulk:

It's also very well executed. The detail is excellent, I love how you've used the lighting and it's a brilliant idea. I'm sure somebody could use this in an advertising campaign!

... and scrambled eggs for brekkie has to be a bonus. Enjoy!

Congratulations. Look forward to seeing more Surprises if you find the time.

Well done John, brilliant interpretation

Sean

Wow thanks everyone I'm chuffed this has been so well received, thanks :D.

This 52 lark is addictive can't wait to see all the other interpretations :)

Marc, Simon, Ruth thanks a lot

I thought I'd got the colour balance right there Simon but I might take another look at it :)

Is it the image that disturbs or is it the fact that I thought of it in the first place :D!!!

I worry about me sometimes :D

That is so good...

It's such a good idea, I can only endorse all the comments on this...

Well done...

Excellent! Great colour, composition and lighting and spot on the theme.:clap::clap:

Marcus, Frank thanks a million :) Much appreciated :)

This is really inspired.
I laughed out loud when I first saw the image - that in itself shows how creative I think this is.
Good work, both technically and creatively.

Kennysarmy and Richard - thank you both very much :) I hope I haven't peaked too early - 48 to go :D

It made me giggle :D I wanted to steal your idea and have bacon and sausages coming out of an eggshell but then got flowers :D

Jill, Kelly many thanks :) Bacon and sausages mmmmm :) Your flowers were excellent though :D

A very good idea, really had me scratching my head for some sort of surprise.
Luckily the weather helped me.

Thanks Michael - I think that downfall surprised loads of us :)
