52 for 2011

I'm planning a 52 for 2011. Just wondering if anything formal is being organised. Is there a thread I'm missing?

That's spooky, I was just searching for the same thing and came upon this thread :-)
 
I haven't seen anything from Simon yet, but if there's interest in it I'm sure that he'll run it again. There were far more than 52 themes in the bag at the beginning of the year, so plenty to carry over to 2011 . . . and if he fancies a break from it next year then the themes are there to pass onto another volunteer organiser.

After doing the second half of 2009's 52 and a full year in 2010, I think I'm going to take a break in 2011. I have a few ideas for personal projects that I'm toying with doing instead.
However, I've got so much out of this that I'd really encourage anyone thinking about it to give it a go :D

I'm gonna give it a miss for 2011... having done a 52 for 2009 and 2010, I need a rest. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, challenging and has certainly improved my photography, but.

I'm sure, as Sarah said, there's plenty of themes in the bag to run another year or two.

I've wanted to take part in a 52 for a while so I have committed to myself that the New Year will be the year to go for it, so count me in.

I do have loads of themes left and the cards they are written on.

However, I have found it increasingly difficult to find the little time it needs to pull the themes. I would love the challenge yo keep going but I think after 2 years of pulling the themes (mostly) on time it is time to pass the torch to someone else.

So please would someone volunteer and I will post the themes to them. I will pull the 1st week as whoever takes on the task won't get the post by Sunday.
 
Im certainly interested in taking part in the 52, but couldn't commit to running it :(
 
Would love to take part this year. And if the only way to do that is to draw the themes I'll even do that. Would rather not do the draw though as I know how tardy i can be. Hopefully someone reliable will step up for that task.

I'm not planning on taking part next year, but having got so much out of it over the last two years, I'd be happy to take over as "keeper & picker of the themes".

If you're happy with that, I'll drop you a PM with my address so that you can send them on.

Ok that sounds great, thank you. I know it will be in good hands with you :thumbs:

I'll pick week 1 tomorrow and post the theme online & then I'll post the rest to you on Tuesday ready for next Sunday.

Good luck for the 52 everyone, stick with it, it's well worth completing it.

I may also be interested. Are there any rules and what's involved?
 
As my new camera arrived yesterday this would be a great incentive to get to know it properly, so would be very interested.
 
I'm gonna try a 365 project this year and this week I'm gonna done just macros
 
I'll attempt it alongside a 365 - wonder which one will last....
