50D Er 99

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered an Er 99 on the Canon 50D. It happened twice to me yesterday in a one hour filming session. It happens when opening the shutter - all goes black until the battery is removed and replaced.

Although I gave the camera an excellent review about a week ago I must admit that this is annoying, plus, I`m finding the 9 point AF rather limiting at times.
 
I got that on my 20D the other week, but it has been fine for the last 1000 shots though...
 
Luckily I am yet to have any problems with my 50D.
 
i think there was a thread over on POTN about it might be worth a look!
 
Yeah, it`s a really good camera overall. Very good noise performance at high ISO....although, still a bit noisy at low ISO strangely.
