Hi all.
As the title suggests, is the RS-80N3 compatible with the 50D? I managed to secure a 1 month old one on ebay last week and as I work away, I've only just got my hands on it :woot: :woot:.
As Hugh Hefner often says "What a body"

Yeah, it should be fine.

Thanks guys, ordering now. On another note, it was supplied with 1 canon battery and 2 aftermarket. I'm not sure about them myself so I've ordered a canon 1.
My question is, Have there been any issues with aftermarket batteries affecting any camera body's?
Cheers
Ian

I have used clone batts since 2005 when I got my first Canon dslr and have had no issues at all.

I've used 2 canon and 2 third party batteries on both my old 300D and current 40D and never had a problem.

Thanks, I'll use the clone's for backup. Do they tend to have a similar life as the OEM ones?

Ian, My clones last just as long if not better than the OEM, I have never noticed any significant differance apart from with the first OEM which was second hand with my original D60 bought used in Jan 2005.

Thanks Graham, I was a bit dubious about them, thats good news that I've got decent spares.
Ian.

I have 2 OEM and 4 aftermarket ones, the aftermarket ones have a much higher Mah rating than the OEM's. I have taken over 2000 shots at an airshow using a 100-400 is lens and still had power left. The Canon jobbies would have given up way before that.
