49th Challenge For The Days Ahead – “Sweet”

This week the challenge is...

SWEET

Remember the competition is open to EVERYBODY and hopefully the theme is broad enough to allow something for everyone.

All the usual rules apply:

All entries must be new photos, taken within the time frame of the comp so please leave exif intact.

Maximum of 3 entries per person. Please post entries into this thread and, if you have two or three photos, please include them in the same post. You can change them up until competition close.

Limited PP, cropping, exposure control, sharpening etc is okay, multi layered cut and pasting is not.

-Images to be captured any time from now until the challenge closes
-Entries can be submitted in this thread from 20:00h on Tuesday 2nd February (not before)
-The competition will be closed at 20:00h on Sunday 7th February and winners will be announced later that evening.

The winner has the honour and privilege of setting up and running the contest for the following week.

Got inspiration for this off this very forum! Unfortunately couldn't find a bag of gummi bears so had to eat a whole bag of Haribo Starmix just for this little fella! Think he looks like he's smiling!

Alison, I searched field after field for a sweet little lamb but alas no lambs at all. The lack of support for the sweet comp is a bit sad so I looked at my photos for this week and my offer of sweet is this cuty little Blue Tit.

I will add a new one tonight at work hopefully, unless my boss has us doing BA drills first :-( can't believe the poor turn out
 
Well done to everyone who entered – all such different interpretations of the theme.

:3rd: 3rd place goes to Molly for the sweet little Blue Tit. Nice composition and the shallow DoF works well for me.

:2nd: 2nd place to Robbo for the lovely portrait of Mrs R and Puppy – definitely deserves the title “Sweetness and Light” I think! Beautiful subjects.

:1st: 1st place goes to abooth2909 :) The Starmix Guy might be smiling but does he know what fate awaits him? :nuts: I think the lighting has worked well. Good work, well done! :clap:
