just a quick question , a m8 of mine is looking at getting into dslr photography and is looking at the 450d kit, I have had no experience with these and was wondering if you can be good enough to give some pointers, pros/cons iect its going to be just for everyday use nothing specific. and also I know they take ef-s lens but do ef lens also fit?

Any EF or EF-S lens will fit this camera. EF lenses are compatible with full frame 35mm sensors and anything less (inc. 450D), whereas the EF-S lenses will only fit cropped sensors (such as the 450D).

no idea what my "focus" in photography is - ive done some flowers, some architecture and some aviation etc and its been ace thus far :-D

I have a 450d, and no specific aims so far... Mostly whatever I think of to point the camera at, along with Astrophotography and some motorsport. It's worked great on everything I've pointed it at, the only problems have happened when I've messed something up...

Mine has pleased me so far. As John has said, it has coped with all pics very well. The biggest problem for me is the idiot behind the viewfinder!! I also recommended the 450D to a friend of mine and she is loving it!
