450d tv mode exposure

when i do motorsport in tv ai servo mode thay all ways seem over exposed on the standard setting just had a play with the settings in doors but cant seem to get it to make any diffrance how do i get it right
 
Have you set exposure compensation?
 
The usual advice on here when people are having problems with their pictures is to post up an example with the Exif data intact as it makes it a lot easier to diagnose what the problem might be.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but surely adjusting the tv will just result in the camera making its own mind up about the aperture to come out with the same exposure as last time?

Yes, but the OP will still get an overexposed shot if.

+Exposure compensation is applied.

Or the chosen Aperture and ISO result in a shutter speed beyond the maximum.

The semi auto modes require the pilot to have an eye on the dials and a reasonable understanding of what they're doing.:)
 
Ah, yeah, I see why you asked the question about the exposure comp now... just couldn't get my head around it
