Yes
This is the T&Cs would make me buy from Amazon for £30

All my items are either New or EX stock and ex display/demo models or as otherwise described in the listing. Always read the item description before bidding /buying. We can’t be responsible if you don’t read the listing properly. Ex stock and ex display items may have damaged packaging, unboxed, or slight cosmetic blemishers. This need to be accepted before bidding. Accessories included are usually mentioned in the listing.

Providing the stock is UK sourced then fine.
However, if it's a grey import you can kiss goodbye to the Canon warranty.
How can you tell if it's UK sourced?
Perhaps ask for the serial number then contact Canon.
Feedback seems okay and the listing does state 'WITH MANUFACTURER WARRANTY!!' although you only have their word at the moment.

You might be beter off contacting Kerso via these forums and asking him for a price.
You can look him up on ebay and you'd getter deal by dealing with him away from ebay itself.

www.camerapricebuster.co.uk list John Lewis as the same price (albeit by 5p) as Amazon.
JL may even give an extended warranty as well.

I bought my Nikon D50 from comet and it was an ex display unit, not a single mark on it and the box was perfect and I got £70 off the price.

To be honest unless its about £70 less i'd just buy a brand new one in a box.

It does seem very cheap and the seller has good feedback so it should be OK. I suppose the main risk you are taking is that you don't know how he would be if you had a problem. That is the joy of Jessops but of course you pay a premium for that. Good luck with your decision making.

Well spotted. Amazon for me if it was my money.

Cheers! Amazon/JL it is. :)

Probably a wise choce, he does say in the listing the box has been opened to check the contents, in my experience this means it's ex demo or a refurb, if you have a brand new camera in a factory sealed box why would you open it before selling it

Dixons are only £5 more on del but £12 off if you use topcashback or quidco.

...you could buy your 450D from www.buyacamera.co.uk for £449.99; I bought my 430EX II Speedlite and EF-S 55-250 IS from them a month ago for less than the lowest prices featured on the clearly-not-exhaustive camerapricebuster.co.uk and recieved excellent and speedy service to boot!

Not knocking cpb.co.uk really, but I do wonder why this retailer isn't included...?

They have to pay to be included so while CPB is a good indicator it isn't a complete list of the best prices available

Is that right?! Well I never knew that! I'd thought the price listings on cpb were impartial, and that the site made it's money from banner advertising. Defeats the object a little if only paying retailers get listed... ah well; it has its uses!

:)

'WITH MANUFACTURER WARRANTY!!'

Doesn't say which country the warranty is valid in though....

"ALL OUR ITEMS ARE SECRETLY MARKED TO COMBAT FRUAD!!!"

Fruad is a real problem on Ebay, looking at their feedback, selling secondhand items as new isn't considered fruad..

Dear bik3rluke,

Dear customer,
The item is end of line stock from last year sale. We opened and check it to be sure nothing is missing. It is genuine item made for UK market with canon UK warranty. We are selling it cheaper than amazon because that is our aim to beat market price. We have sold similar items. We are a company registered in England and Wales and we sell only genuine items.
Since the box has been opened before, the box may be distressed.
Hope this answer your questions?
