What is the big difference between these, iam looking into getting my first flash and have been looking at these.

I know the 430(mark one) is a bit cheaper as its older (looking at second hand ones) but was wondering if it will do what i want it to do and save some money as well.

I shoot mainly sports (mountain biking) so will be using it to fill the riders using some wireless system.

Also will both of these do high speed sync (HSS) ?

they both hss but for that they need to be either on camera, on a ttl cable or controlled by a 580exII/ST-E2

The mark 2 has the significant advantage of being controlled by the in camera menu if on shoe or cable which I use all the time with my 580

ok cheers, so you can't get remote triggers with TTL has to be cable. N will remember the markii being able to be controlled on camera will help out loads.
